Somewhere along my own self journey I seemed to have gained the ability to make friends out of strangers. And not just any strangers but strangers that I meet while I travel. Really that is how I met R. The two of us met on Blood Mountain back in October and we wouldn't have even met if it weren't for the fact that I had left blood mountain and then came back a few minutes later. From there we ended up talking and hiking together. Slowly talking and getting to know who each other are as people and going from there. Now fast forward to today and I can say that I am sure that the universe was trying to say something to me. Maybe I needed to meet R and these girls that we bonded with. Maybe I needed to get out more and start exploring. Something in me was screaming for adventure and made me turn back around.
For me I think it comes down to the way I see the universe. I dont believe in God or Jesus but I do believe in the power of the universe and mother nature itself. Being outside, hiking, and being an active human being is what helps me to reset nad come alive. It makes me feel so good and I really cant explain everything I feel when I am out and exploring. It just feels so right and it makes me a better person in general. Meeting R and building this friendship with him has helped me as well. It has helped me realize that no matter who you are, what you do, or how you live you can still be an active person and have friends. He works a 9-5 job, has this beautiful husky, works out and has a good support system and still is able to be happy all at once. To me that is something that I never would have been able to handle. 9-5 jobs make me crazy and I am barley able to handle my part time job let alone stay sane.
Meeting all these new and interesting people has really helped me understand the world and see all different views. I can't wait to meet more interesting people and learn more interesting and fun things. There are so many things to see, do and learn and I can't wait to share them with others. All it really takes is the ability to meet a stranger.
