Looking back on 2018

The end of 2018 is here. It is the official last day so of course I want to say a few things about 2018.

This year was a year full of ups and downs. It started off with many adventures, hope, and accomplishments. I really thought that in 2018 I was going to be able to start my adventures out in the U.S and get to see everything and anything. I really was hoping for that to happen. Unfortunately because of all the tragedy that came along with all the happiness I had to stop and put a delay on my adventurous life. I lost two people this year. Both were very close to me and one shouldn’t have even happened. My neighbors lost their old dog Bella and that hit me hard since for the past three years I had helped them take care of her and I loved her like she was my own. I have cried so many times this year that I lost count. I’ve fought with myself to try and keep my job and stay put. Ive even come close to just giving up and not going anywhere at all. Yet here I am, still pushing forward and staying positive. I just had to look on the bright side of it all.

Even though I had lots of sadness in this year, I also did so many wonderful and amazing things. I got to see the city of Atlanta in a more personal way. I even got to meet new people while I was there and eat some amazing food in the city itself.  I got to see Icon For Hire in concert again and to be able to go to their concert and have them recognize me was a huge deal and amazing experience. One that I will never forget. I traveled to Texas where I stayed in Sam Houston National Forest and while I was there I witnessed its beauty, saw an old friend, and got Spice more into the outdoor life. She even had her very first Kittychino which she absolutely loved. I went to Wisconsin for the first time and got to see some amazing waterfalls and got to play around the in the snow and let out my inner wild child while I was there.

Last but not least I got to go to New Zealand for two whole weeks! I jumped out of an airplane at 15,000 feet. I paraglided around Queenstown. I got to live in camper and see the stars in their full potential. I got to witness the L.O.T.R's locations. I visited Hobbition and got to truly live the life of a Hobbit. I even got to do the scene where Bilbo runs out of his home and yells "I’m going on an adventure!" which was so thrilling and felt so right. I made a trek and climbed up a giant waterfall with one a bungie line to hold me up if I fell down. I got to be in the vastness, the quiet, and beauty of such a place and even though I was all alone I loved every single second of it. It was truly magical.

So I can't really say that 2018 was full of sadness, tragedy, and unhappiness because that would be false. It was also filled with so many wonderful adventures that I am so proud of doing. I got to be apart of something bigger and better. I got to go out there and truly live. Of course in 2019 im going to do it all over again and continue my exploration but with bigger and better things. I look forward to seeing what 2019 will bring me.

I hope everyone had a wonderful year and I will see you in the start of 2019.
