Ax Throwing competition

It’s weird dropping someone off at the airport. It’s like saying goodbye but in a non-definite way. You know you will see them when they come back so it’s almost like a good goodbye. Of course you don’t know what that other person is feeling but you can assume they are excited about what is to come in the next few days. They want to go on this adventure and take a stance on their life. They are taking a leap and getting on a plane that is thousands of miles up in the air and trusting that they land safely in their destination. Really its riveting to think about.

Today D went to Nova Scotia so that he can compete with his sister in an ax throwing competition. I'm excited for them and I really do hope that they do well. The next few days will be filled with text messages, cheering, and me watching the TV as much as I can to see how he does. I hope that he does well so that he can come back with a big smile on his face. I want him to tell me all the details about his trip and let me know what happened and tell me if he was good enough to make any cash. If not then that is ok to. I just want him to do the best he can.

It feels good to have him doing what he wants to do. It’s nice to let him fly out and do things with his family. After all, I do travel on my own quite often and I find it refreshing to get away from it all and just be me. For him I am sure that this will be a good experience. He is spreading his wings a little bit more and taking an adventure without me at his side. I think we both can grow from it.

If you want to watch the ax throwing competition in Nova Scotia you can tune in on ESPN on the 10th to watch it go down.

Wish him luck you guys!
