Car Battery died

Yesterday was a rollercoaster. I can say that I definitely learned something new even though I could have dealt without it. It was a really nice day where I got to spend most of it doing what I wanted to do. In the morning I got up, had some coffee, watching some Netflix and then went out to the gym so that I could climb with a fellow coworker of mine. We met up half an hour after they opened and then we got started by warming up. Once we were all warmed up and ready to rock and roll we went ahead and started working on some projects. There were a few routes here and there that were brand new so we made our way around and got to try them out.

Around one my coworker was done and decided to head out. We said our goodbyes and I kept climbing until two thirty. Once I finished up I said goodbye and headed to Office Depot to go buy a new printer. It was one of those things that I was waiting on purchasing because not only are printers expensive but I also just wasn’t sure when to purchase one. There is so much going on and I had been putting it off because I got caught up in everything.

Finally I had decided it was time to get that printer. So I went to the store and I realized that they wanted $20-$30 more in store then what they did online. So I called my dad and we chatted for a bit and in the process of talking to him I got in my car and tried to turn it on. The car wouldn’t roll or fire. It just clicked. Immediately I knew that my battery was dead. I only had one other experience of my car battery dying but I got lucky cause someone gave me a jump and I was fine after that.

This time was completely different.

Dad told me he was on his way and I waited for him to come save me. Once he arrived we realized that the battery was (as he put it) deader than dog ****. So I got to steer while he pushed the car into a place where he could get the truck in a good position to try and jump my vehicle. For twenty minutes we tried to get it moving. We tried everything and with a sad heart we had to leave me car, go back to the house, get some tools and come back. We tried one more time to jump the car before resigning to having to buy a new battery.

Let me say my wallet was not a happy camper but I am glad that they changed the warranty on the batteries. Instead of three years you get three years of complete warranty and then two years after that where you get half compensation back. That I will gladly take.

So the printer is going to have to wait a little bit longer.
