Pinball Half Sleeve

I got my first tattoo when I was seventeen. I had asked for one as a graduation gift and after some talk, an agreeable price range, and some good spirits I got what I wanted. My very first time in the chair and I chose to get matching tattoos on my wrists. Yes my wrists. I’m so glad that I had my friend with me to hold my hand because the pain was crazy. Now it wasn’t my level 10 pain but it was around an 8.5. I was sure that I was going to punch the guy and I swear I felt the reflex to do it. Luckily they were small so the amount of time I had to endure the pain was a very small.

Ever since then I have been going back for more. Slowly building my way up to the designs. Each area a new sensation and a new piece of my life. Every tattoo I have has a story too it and it means something to me. I make sure to get them done in a specific way and that I really love what I am getting on my body. Sometimes I’ll let the design sit for a year or two before I go for it. It’s something that you have for the rest of your life and sure there is laser removal but I rather not go through that.

So for the past few months I have been rolling the idea of a half sleeve around. The theme was based from my childhood and pinball. Ever since I could remember I have been playing pinball machines and I figured it was time to represent that part of myself. Even into adulthood I love pinball and I the games themselves are very interesting. Each game is a different level of difficulty, story, and color scheme. Each one was hand crafted and is a work of art. Somebody had to come up with the designs, the game board design and then make it real. It’s something that very few people can understand and not very many get a chance to play their entire lives.

So a few days ago I went into the shop and booked an appointment with my artist. Just yesterday I finished sending him the details of the tattoo and I’m very nervous but also so excited. I’ve always wanted a half sleeve and I have always love artwork. It’s another piece of me made to fit on my skin and show off to the world. Not only that but I get to support some amazing artists who actually inked it into my skin. I can’t wait to see the design and I can’t wait to share the results with you guys.
