Intro: Cinnamon Spice

So I just wanted to give a quick update on Cinnamon Spice. Now for those of you that don’t know who that is I will go ahead and introduce her. First her name is Cinnamon Spice and she is my 3 year old Calico cat. She is my partner, my cuddle buddy, and of course my friend. I do sometimes call her my furbaby but, really I also know that she is a cat and she has a mind of her own. So I consider her to be more of my friend then anything. I take care of her and she watches over me.

Spice was given to me on my 18th birthday as a birthday present. I had been going to a friend’s grandparents’ house for a few weeks and during that time I had bonded with all the litters of kittens she had around. At the time I didn’t understand just how bad that was. If anything I thought it was awesome. So for weeks I had been visiting and after a few days this little calico kitten kept coming up to me. She was always meowing at me, batting at my leg, and crawling all over me. Eventually she knew when I was be at the house and I would sometimes let her sleep on my lap while I played a board game with the family. When it came time to choose a kitten they reluctantly let me take her. They really wanted to keep her but knowing that she had chosen me, they thought they couldn’t break that apart.

So I took this adorable tiny kitten home with me and from there we grew our friendship. She is always by my side and I have started training her to be an adventure cat. So far we have traveled on the road together and we have done some hikes together. We have a long way to go and a lot to work on but so far she has adapted well and loves to go Outside. She used to be really shy but now she gets excited at the sight of her harness.

Dogs and strangers are a problem as she is unsure of them and will hide but, I know with time and patience that we will do what we can to make the hikes easier on her.

I want to share little pieces of her training and how things are going as we start to figure things out but I know that I had to introduce you o her and to share a little of her story. I hope you guys enjoy these pictures of my joy, friend, and heart.
