Destin bridge Closed

A few days ago the I'd Bay Bridge closed down. It's the one bridge around here that can get you directly from niceville to destin without much of a hassle. Of course your paying $4 each way to go down the bridge but depending on where you live, it might be worth the $4 to take the route. Honestly it is for me since my work is 10 minutes away when I take the bridge.

Right now it is a good time to have the bridge closed since it is officially the slow season but in a few months all the tourists will be back and business will be booming again. In a sense it's not a good thing for not just the business's but also for the people who work over the bridge. They say that there is corrosion on the bridge which happened back in 2000 .due to this they closed the bridge for 12 days and after that opened one side of the bridge at a time to allow the traffic to get across. But cording to D and his father, they say that bridge might be closed indefinitely. Of course were not sure what they know. They won't tell us for a long time and I honestly doubt that we will ever know at this point. If they have to take the bridge apart then that really puts everyone in a bind and I sincerely hope that doesn't happen.

For right now it means limiting the amount of trips we take to get to destin. I sincerely hope that this gets resolved quickly and with no issues because I would really like to limit the amount of gas I have to use to get to work in the busy season. What a great way to give the new year a kick in the teeth .
