I have had very few jobs that actually make me feel like it’s worth something. So far there has been only one job that has made me feel like it was worth the time and experience and it’s because of the people that were there. I became family to them and they became family to me. We all got along real well and we all spent our time hanging out and working like a well-oiled machine. We knew each other’s weaknesses and strengths and even after we all left the company we still talked to one another and I even gained a second family from it. 

Right now I’m working for a chocolate/fudge store that is only part time. They support me in what I am aiming to do and they have been so kind to me. They honestly make me feel right at home and all of them are so wonderful to work with. When I got hired by them they wanted me to tell them about myself. I told them all about my business and how it was only just beginning, how I was training for a half marathon and how I loved to travel. As long as I got my "me" time then I was easily satisfied. They were so supportive and told me that they would help me out in any way to make my goals happen and knew that I would only be there for a short time. It was so nice to have a company who cares about what you want out of life.

The more I work with them the more I see in each person and I honestly don’t know how I will feel when I do leave to go out on my own. I know it will be bittersweet and that it will be a huge step for me. I will be leaving somewhere that was my entire world. I’ll be leaving a financially stable job, friends, family, and everything behind. It’ll be a new world once I am out there and traveling the U.S but it’s what I want. I want to see the world with my own eyes, I want to be a part of the cultures, festivals, and just live for myself and not for anyone else.

This part time job that I am working at is so wonderful and it is a blessing that I have a friend that vouched for me so I could work there. It honestly warms my heart that she saw me as a good worker and got them to hire me with her word alone. I feel like everything is falling into place and I am so happy that they are a part of the journey. They will forever be a part of the beginning of the big dream I am aiming for. It’s always the good people and companies that stick with you for forever.
