I don't know why this didn't post but here it is.
Here are my thoughts on the Blackstone from Walmart. The blackstone that I purchased from Walmart is amazing. It's light enough to easily lift and move and durable for most travel. It can make any food taste so much more delicious and it is easy to clean. I can make omelets in a flash, cook bacon without hassle, and of course make a nice juicy steak when the price is right. For me the Blackstone was an amazing purchase that was of course, influenced by Dad. He bought one and I Let him give it a whirl before getting one myself. In the end, it's been a game changer in how I cook things when I am out and about. In honesty, I had no idea how to feel at first, but over the last few years I have started to have trouble imagining my life on the road without it.
There are of course situations where the blackstone is not an easy thing to use. For example, when we are in a parking area at Walmart overnight, not all Walmart are safe enough to really get it out and cook with, so I have had to use small appliances to get the job done. Or when it rains and you don't have cover, that can be a bummer for making those foods you love. But of course now that I have the awning that part isn't so much of an issue. It's the rain when it decides to dance its way under the awning by flying sideways that can now ruin it, but regardless, there is always a small risk of not using it.
But I have to say, for $100 it has changed the game on how I make my food on the road and I couldn't be happier for that. So thank you Walmart for the one thing that has changed the way I eat now when I am in the middle of nowhere.
