Competition

When I was growing up my Dad and I were always competing against each other. Anything that came our way that we both enjoyed was a competition. I dont know how many times we have hurt each other, cussed each other out, and destroy each others pride. Air hockey was a huge thing for us both and it still is but, when I was little it was a whole other ball park. I got so good at it that I was in a competition on a cruise. It was hosted by a couple of boys that were in my age group and I remember beating all my competitors. They were not pleased to be beaten by a girl but then again, they hadnt competed with my father. It got so bad between us that the puck goes flying off the table at least twice during a game.

Then there was bowling. Oh good old fashioned bowling. We went so often that we even got our own bowling balls and got our own shoes. We were real competitiors and we got pretty good at it. It was such a ride for us both and my friends enjoyed a good game of bowling. Now we never went to the competitive level but we did make some of our friend's jaws drop. I mean, with me having a father's influence I had to learn from somewhere. So I learned from him. If he could do it then I could give it a shot. Plus it was a fun bonding experience for us both. Bowling can really teach you how someone reacts to a good or bad game and that can tell you a lot about them.

Yesterday I went to a bowling party to celebrate that our team made it through summer. We have two weeks left but, people were leaving and going to school so we thought id would be fun to get a chance to get those last minute selfies and say our farewells. It was fun and I got a little on the competitive side of things. Going with large groups makes me feel good and this particular group is awesome to watch and be apart of. For me it was a nice time to get outside my house and enjoy a good day off.

I had a really good time with everyone and it felt good to get a little competitive with my team. It shows me what is going on and how people react outside of the work environment. Some people were stranger then others but hey, theres nothing wrong with that.

Im just glad that ive made some new friends and that I have a good job that is supportive of me. Its nice to know good people.
