Last night was absolutely crazy. Every time I see Icon For Hire in concert I swear that I am more and more amazed by what they an do. Not only did they remember who I was but they also got involved with my GoPro and helping me video it. This year they upped the security due to there being a shooting in December. Which I had no idea that it happened so when I got there I was surprised by what I saw. When they saw my bag they had me turn around and go back to my car. NO backpacks allowed. SO I went back and decided to take the GoPro, keys, wallet, and phone. I could handle getting good footage on the GoPro and leave the camera behind. That was acceptable. I just prayed that I would come home with good photos on my phone so that I can show you guys some of them.
This year was so much fun. From the moment I walked in I could feel the difference. They had a speaker this time who told us the "rules" before they came out to see us. From there they came out, signed our posters and a copy of Ariel's book "Turn Your Pain into Art" which was awesome, as well as said hello to each and every one of us. From the moment that they both saw me they realized that I was there last year. They both commented on it and said that they were happy that I was back. I was happy to be back and I meant it when I told them that. We took our photo together and then I went back to the stage where I planted myself where I was last year. Of course I was off by two or three people in the line and because of that I was off center but still in the perfect spot.
Ironically I actually ran into two people who were also at the same concert last year and they (of course) were also VIP again. SO we banded together and formed a little group in the front row to protect the items we brought and to protect ourselves. We knew that it was about to get crazy up in here.
The concert itself was phenomenal and I had my GrPro taken from me twice. I can't explain how amazed I was that he did that. He just swooped it up and took it on stage. I was freaking out you guys. Freaking the **** out. I wasn't expecting anything from them but they knew that I was videoing. They knew that I was a person who got close, who got good angels, who wanted to go home with someone good so I can share it. They were more than happy to oblige. I had never had that happen before and I was so happy about everything. The performance, the way they interacted, how they played. I mean ****, it was exhilarating. Even as I write this I am having a hard time believing that it is still real. That it happened at all.
I can't wait to edit this video and show you guys everything. The GoPro got amazing quality and I am more then happy with what I got to bring back. If they do another show next year I will bring the GoPro and the camera. SO amazing. I'm so happy.
