I have said this before but Im gonna say it again. I absolutely hate driving in the rain. Not only is it frustrating but it also causes so many crashes which makes you slow down and adds time to how long you have to drive. So all around it sucks. So of course I get everything ready and I set out to my first destination. From the get go I realized it was probably gonna rain. It was cloudy and dreary and the forecast predicted rain.
I expected some rain when I was leaving my hometown but the minute I got out of town it began drizzling which was fine. I get halfway through Alabama and it's a raining and on top of that someone decided to crash and cause a standstill traffic jam. Ok fine, I expected some traffic. I get my phone to play se Netflix and I started catching up on How to get away with Murder. For an hour we sit and after the long wait we began moving again.
For a few hours everything seems to be going back on track when I run into yet another stand still accident. I kid you not I was so angry I wasn't sure if I was gonna ever make it to my destination. I just wanted to pull over and give up. Someone had cursed me or maybe mother nature was trying to tell me something. All I knew was that I was as frustrated as I could possibly get.
Once I got through that jam everything else went smoothly but I definitely didn't appreciate the fact that a simple nine hours drive became an elevator hour drive. But just like everything else in life you just gotten find a way to deal with the delays and stupidity. Sometimes adventuring is hard and can be quite the task but you know what the reward is always worth the struggle. You just gotta keep going.
