Being Misunderstood

Being misunderstood is a real struggle for me. I have a hard time with communicating and controlling my facial expressions. There are times when people can read me like an open book and other times they misunderstand the expression and read it off as angry or upset. It takes huge amounts of control for me to not let go and sometimes they don't give me time to explain. Honestly it makes the work place intense and people always find ways to make it worse. For years I've been dealing with people misreading me and thinking they understand what's going on in my head even though haven't had a full and real conversation with me. I'm very laid back and I usually take things in stride. I don't like to be bossy or bitchy unless if it's necessary. People just think I'm like that more often then not.

The other side of things is when people misread what I'm trying to say. I grew up in a household where I had only a male influence so a lot of my thought process and observations are based from the teaching of my father. A lot of emotions that others express I don't see the same way and a lot of the things I do are because of his influence on me. I'm pretty independent and once I get going at a job I become a machine. When I get to the point where everything moving and I start to say certain things they try to reword it to fit what they are thinking I stead of trying to understand the way I intend it to be said.

People are so hard to manage because of the way my brain works and just trying to break that barrier is hard enough but to have multiple people try and turn it into a bad side of my personality is frustrating. I don't like to cause problems and I don't like to be micromanaged. I hate it when people won't take anything I do in stride and when they won't try to understand it makes it worse. Jumping to conclusions is never good for anybody and can cause a storm when it's not needed.

If your one of those people who can't function unless it's your way the. You need to go and readjust yourself. Not everyone's the same and trying to throw your way of life into someone else's lifestyle never works unless if they ask for your help or advice. Just try and put yourself into someone else's shoes instead of being a dick. Be patient, everyone's different.
