I went climbing yesterday at this awesome place called Rock Out. Its a pretty cool place that allows you to do Bouldering. you pay a fee to come in, get climbing shoes, and a chalk bag and after you watch a ten minute video you are released to go and climb for as long as you want. Its the second time I had been at this location and the first time I was there I lasted only a few hours before I had to stop due to my hands severally hurting. I didn't have the calluses to be able to keep going and not only that but I was so nervous that it was hard to concentrate. The height along with trusting myself was really difficult to do at that time.

This time around we walked in, got the shoes and everything and went straight to the wall. D and I warmed up on the easy routes so that I could get into the climb and get a feel for it. Slowly but surely I started moving down the wall and started getting more confident with the climbing. The more I go and climb the more I am able to do and the more I can trust myself on the wall. It's really quite amazing what you can do when you start to get to know yourself as a climber. You get a feel for your body, for your core, and for your strengths/weaknesses.

For me personally its a nice change in exercise and not only that but I get used to falling and trusting myself to fall. The height is still a little much for me but as I continue to climb I get more and more used to it. Not only that but I get a chance to know my friend D more and to see how he takes on the challenges of climbing as well as learn from him. There are some challenges that I am not ready for but I can say that I am happily moving slowly but surely up to them. I just need more core work and confidence.

If you guys live in the Destin area and want to try something new I highly recommend going to Rock Out. They are super awesome, friendly, and they have all different types of climbs that you can do. They have snacks and water there for you to purchase in case if you are there for the long haul. Not only that but if you wanna try something new and give yourself a challenge well...then this is the place.

Also a little side note to consider. If you have kids and want to have a safe, fun place where you can tire them out then I recommend taking them. When we were there yesterday there were kids of all ages there and it was quite awesome to see these kids take on the wall and really challenge themselves but I also know the parents were happy because the kids were all tuckered out from the actual workout climbing gives. So if you are in the area, have kids, want a challenge or maybe want to have something new in your life go to Rock Out. Its definitely worth it.

For a while I have been using the Blackberry priv as my phone, camera, and entertainment device. It’s been quite the phone and it has gone through lots of adventures with me. I will say that I highly enjoy it and I am quite surprised that it has held up this long. But of course I had to buy it with my own hard earned money almost three years ago now and I will say that when you buy something with you own money vs a hand me down it really does make a difference. The only thing I really don’t like about the phone is that I had to buy a specific case to make sure that it doesn’t get cracked or broken by my clumsy self.

It took me a while to find a case that basically "covered" the phone and gave it protection. The phone came with these protectors that only snapped onto the back and slightly gave the front protection but not full coverage. For someone like me, that just wasn’t going to fly. I have a real habit of dropping my phone, mostly because I accidently bump into it and it falls or the cats have something to do with the incident. Either way, I needed something to cover the entire phone.

So I ended up buying one of those phone cases that is also a wallet. It has a little magnetic flap to keep it closed and has three slots for cards and a slot for physical money. It can't hold a lot of stuff but it’s something. And of course I have found that it does the job just right. The case is real beat up but I can't complain with the way it has protected my phone. It gives me full coverage and I have storage space. I think that is a win, win.

Right now though I am looking towards a better phone that I could upgrade to. The priv is finally meeting an end. Its lagging, the battery is dying faster, and it’s have little spaz attacks every so often. The camera is still amazing and I still love every bit of it but everything else is not so good when your work is on the internet.

But if you are looking for a phone that is pretty decent, has a nice screen, takes good quality photos and so forth I would take a look at the Blackberry Priv. I think it’s a great phone and I highly recommend it.
