There are normal days where I know the routine, I have a list, I follow the list and I know how my mood will be and then there are weird days where I’m not sure how I feel and everything is kind of out of wack. Yesterday was a mixture of the two. It felt pretty clear in terms of what we were talking about but also a little robotic in terms of how work is. We both knew what needed to be done for the day and we also knew that the customers came first. So if her and I were talking about relationships and a customer walks in, well we stop talking. It doesn’t matter where we are in the conversation we stop and we turn to serve the customer that comes in the store.
Because of the slow season there aren’t very many interruptions so we get into the conversation and we start talking about our bucket list's, our single lives, relationships, friends, and other details that are best kept between us. We had a good time and I knew that we were sharing a moment with each other. Not only as friends but as coworkers too.
Throughout the day she was making some amazing waffle cones and I was serving customers while cleaning around the store. Recently the place has been very dusty since I had been away and I felt that during the slow time to just use one of my best skills....well actually two of my best skills. Cleaning and Organizing. It’s not only helpful at home but also in the workplace.
Overall I think it was a well spent day and I felt really good once I got home. I was feeling like the day was well spent and I got everything done I needed too. Sometimes to feel a tiny sliver of something different, it helps to reset yourself and clear the mind for the next day.
