Theres always one expression that usually makes me roll my eyes. Its the expression "you got some balls". Iv heard it a million times since ive started traveling as a hobby of mine. I get people who want to hear my story, so I tell them, and instantly I become Jesus or some important deity that needs to be worshiped. Sometimes its hard to restrain myself from getting in peoples faces. It usually takes me a bit to realize what is happening around me. I live in an age where everyone that is from my generation is getting married and having babies. To me it seems crazy but, it also makes sense as to why that phrase is being used for what I do.
Were kind of going back in time
Were supposed to be the future and we still have a hard time grasping that women travel by themselves as well. Its not just men. It also seems that when people think of women traveling alone, they think of bad things happening and that person getting hurt, or kidnapped, or robbed. The think of all these things that make you want to shut your eyes and then suddenly scream in their face just to get them to stop talking.
Quite honestly the way I see it, is that we have one life and I am tired of living a life that I dont enjoy. If I want something I want to go get it, not just sit around waiting for my boo to show up to then escort to travel with me around teh world. I just dont have the patience to wait anymore. So I save my money, set a date, make some plans and go when it is time to set off to a new place. It just kind of is something that I love doing and I want to do it until I am sick and tired of it . Until I finally find somewhere I feel like I can live my life without any regrets.
Right now the world is just an open treasure map that I can freely explore.
And I am ready to explore as much as I can.
