There are a few things that I really hate when it comes to being technological. For one I don’t like how we get so pulled into our devices. Anytime one goes off we automatically respond by checking the cell phone to see what it could be that set it off. Some of us though know exactly what it is and yet we check anyway. For some people they can control when that happens. Some leave it off the dinner table, some put it on vibrate when hanging out with family, others just get a basic flip phone and nothing more.
There are times when I need a break from my devices and when that happened I shut everything down and try to go do something outside or away from my usual go to items. Sometimes I will read a book, go for a run, yoga, maybe go out and do a hike, whatever I do I try to keep away from using the device. Sometimes I put my phone on airplane mode and just use the camera on it. Its especially helpful when I am traveling and I decide to go on a hike. Pictures after all last a lifetime and I love to take photos of my scenery and of course, of Cinnamon Spice.
I can understand why we are moving to a more technological world and I can see the benefits but it also makes me worried about what direction we will head in to make this world have more technology. The more control we give to electronics the more I worry about how robots could take over the world and yes I do have that fear. We are already wanting to move towards robots going towards war and letting technology take control of our homes by linking with networks that literally can just go into your systems and steal you information whenever you like.
I just have to remind myself sometimes that the world will be ok and I just hope that when the world is taken over by robots, that I am already in the ground. Only one can hope.
