HAPPPY FOURTH OF JULY!

Oh My lord it's another year that we celebrate this amazing holiday to show that we have earned our independence. Honestly I mean who wouldn’t want to celebrate with fireworks, drinking, maybe some smoking depending on what state you’re in, and of course family. When I was little my family used to go out on the boat and spend the day out in the sun and enjoy the company we all shared. There would be us jumping off the boat, have a drink, laughing, singing and targeting our victims with water cannons. It was quite the show and we had several different people on board. There were times when we would have jet skis out with us and would even go as crazy as to go on the sandbar and get in the circle of boats that were all around. You could interact with all the other people that hung out there and get sunburned together. Luckily we had a large boat so if you got tired of the sun you could go inside and rest but 90% of the time you were out there all day just causing trouble.

Most of my childhood was like that and as the years went on we sold the boats and eventually got to celebrating at home with a drink and the hot tub. We would just sit back and not have to worry about when we would get home or who was too intoxicated to drive or spend time washing the boat off and then spending another hour washing ourselves off with showers. It became simplistic and easy to do and honestly that’s the best you can ask for when it comes to celebrating a national holiday.

This year my Dad and I are going to do doing our own things. I’m gonna be in good ol Atlanta again spending time with my second family and celebrating with movies and drinks. So easy I don’t even have to get off the couch. I get to just sit back and not give a care in the world.

So even though I may have it easy this year, just please keep in mind that the rest of you that are out there running around or drinking to be aware of your surroundings. Please don’t drink and drive, we already have so much going on all over the world with traffic, fireworks, and possible explosions from balloons and water guns. Don’t play with fire since it does burn and don’t put firecrackers in mailboxes as it can potentially hit a car that is driving by (my brother did that one year) and please be aware of your hands. Blowing them off on a national holiday is not really wanted for your family and friends and I’m sure you will miss that hand once you sober up. Be safe out there and have fun but do it in safety and moderation.

Happy Fourth of July everyone and you will get a normal post tomorrow. For now, get drunk, get high, go out on the boat and get sunburned, do what you do and enjoy our independence that our forefathers won for us.
