Ask the questions

I think family is an interesting experience. Mostly because no matter how much you think you know your family you always get surprised by the people who thought you knew. My family is very small and is always bustling with drama. It doesn't matter what we do to prevent disasters from happening, they always seem to find a way to make an appearance. Of course when drama comes around you handle it the best way you can and you keep moving forward. With my family it always seems to be that way. Every few months there some new drama that comes our way. Usually I roll my eyes and complain for a day or two and then move onward.

But of course that doesn't always become the outcome. In this instance it was one of those ordeals that lasted for more then a day or two. It lasted for a few months. A lot of it had to do with people keeping secrets adn things being uncertain. So when we went on this yearly family vacation I finally got my answers. Of course I Had to really ask questions to get things rolling but that is totally ok. I was tired of being sad, upset, angry, and confused.

There are a lot of things that people can handle but I think that after some time we get tired of being left out of the equation. Family is supposed to be there to help each other out. Family is supposed to be supportive. Family is something that we are supposed to be apart of. My family seems to have that problem. We never really seem to be a real family, just two pieces of a whole that are divided. Luckily with this last trip I was able to find out my answers and  hopefully start to pull us together.

Sometimes you have to ask questions to get answers.
